WARNING:

The black box on the front Pony has three wires. Never connect all three wires together, as this could potentially damage the Pony by supplying two power connections at once. Use black and yellow wires for headlights or black and red for DRLs. If connecting red to red doesn’t light up the pony, it’s likely because in your case you can only use the yellow wire and your headlights don´t have the 12v power DRL´s wire, it´s BCM software powered.

To Usa the pony only works with headlights, the US connector just have the yellow and black wire.

*****************************************************

  • If you already have the light-up pony, you’ll need to switch to the new connector to use the ULTIMATE, or the LEDs could be damaged.

  • Not installing the ULTIMATE with its connector will void the warranty.

  • Installing the ULTIMATE by any method other than plug and play will void the warranty.

  • This pony was originally designed to work specifically with the headlights, but after numerous requests, we developed a dual connector to suit all preferences to the most models in Europe, the UK and Canada,In MY25+ models, it won’t work since it’s BCM-operated, unlike older models that may also have this feature.

  • In the U.S., the pony will work just with the headlights.

  • Use the right-side, passenger-side headlights (driver’s side if you are in the UK).

  • If you don’t want to drill the hole bigger (3/8") to route the connector attached to the front Pony, you can easily depin it. Just push a flathead lightly on the metal on the red and black side and they will pull out easily. Just remember black goes on left and red goes on right (if looking at metal side). This will make for MUCH easier routing through the hole.

  • Take a picture before removing the plug to avoid connecting the wrong wires.

Dual Connector Instructions:

Connect the black wire, and only connect either the yellow or the red wire—never both.

See pictures for reference.

1. Yellow with yellow to headlights. DO NOT CONNECT THE RED WIRE. This method works in all Mach-E´s

2.Connect the red wire to the red wire for the DRLs, and leave the yellow wire disconnected. DO NOT CONNECT THE YELLOW WIRE

This method works for most models in Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, but isn’t available in the USA. If connecting red to red doesn’t light up the pony, skip this method.

How to stick the rear pony properly?

Start by cleaning the surface where the pony will be attached. Use tape around the original pony as a guide, clean the spot thoroughly, and let it dry. Warm up both the 3M tape and the spot on the car, then attach the pony using the original clips so it’s in the same position as before. Press firmly for one minute, remove the guide tape, and clean the area again. Tape over the pony to keep pressure on it overnight, and avoid washing the car for a few days.

To remove the pony, heat it well, cut the tape with a fishing line, and locate the two clips. Don’t force it—cut as much as you can and use a plastic trim tool for assistance. Tape around the pony to protect it, will avoid marks on the paint.
