3. For Europe, UK, NZ, and AU, it will be fully complete. For the USA, it will come without buttons, so you’ll use your OEM buttons. It includes heating and is completely plug-and-play.

Instructions:

1. Preparation and Safety

1. Open the frunk and remove the plastic trim around it… three large trim pieces that pop off with no tools.

2. Disconnect the positive cable from the 12-volt battery so the air bag system can discharge.

3. Wait at least thirty minutes before continuing.

2. Remove the Steering Column Shrouds

1. Using a 7 mm socket, remove the two bolts from the bottom steering column shroud.

2. Pull the lower shroud down and then push it back about an inch. Slide it over the steering wheel adjustment arm and set it aside.

3. Carefully lift the top shroud. Unplug the brown connector and the black connector with red trim. Lift the top shroud out of the way… it will remain attached by the leather trim flap.

3. Release and Unplug the Air Bag

1. Turn the steering wheel ninety degrees clockwise.

2. On the back of the wheel, locate the small round hole (about the size of a dime). Insert a small screwdriver and turn it to push the spring-loaded release rod. This releases the air bag section from the wheel.

3. Unplug the three clips: the bottom center clip, and the two air bag clips. Lift the orange tabs straight up to unlock them, then unplug the yellow connectors.

4. Unplug Wiring and Remove the Wheel

1. Unplug the top-center connector (clockspring connector).

2. Unplug the steering-wheel-button connectors.

3. Use a 22 mm or 23 mm socket to remove the center nut.

4. Carefully pull the steering wheel off, guiding the wires through the openings. Do NOT rotate or move the clockspring.
